Hattie Kennedy earned her Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas. She is a member in good standing with Christian Counselors of Texas. Hattie’s previous experience includes over eight years as a church lay counselor and a former career as an EMT.
Hattie enjoys working with those struggling in relationships or engaged couples wanting to build a strong relational foundation through pre-marital. She is experienced in addressing effective communication, infidelity, reconciliation & forgiveness, anger discovery/management, and divorce recovery. She is Gottman Level 1 certified. Hattie also works in the areas of co-dependency, destructive thoughts, self-esteem/worth, grief, depression & anxiety, life purpose/examination, and substance use/abuse.
Hattie believes “You know you better than anyone else,” and her goal in therapy will be to help you to explore who you are today and what has shaped you into this person. Her focus is on the whole being, i.e., body, soul, and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23), and helping clients enjoy optimal life.
