Heather O’Flaherty earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Dallas Baptist University. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and is recognized as a Licensed Professional Counselor by the state of Texas. Heather is also a Registered Behavior Technician with the state of Texas and has over three years experience doing behavior therapy with children who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Heather’s experience working with children on the autism spectrum gives her special insight into the challenges that families with a special needs child face so she’s able to come alongside family members who need a safe place to explore and process those feelings.
Heather is also well equipped to work with a wide range of clients who are dealing with other different types of challenges. She is comfortable working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, divorce recovery, sexual abuse recovery, family/marital stress and adjustment difficulties. Heather is competent and compassionate as she works with her clients to meet their goals.
