Laura Courchesne

Supervised by Brenda Elledge, LPC-S

Laura earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The King’s University. She works with individuals, couples, adolescents, and children ages 8 and up, who may be navigating challenges related to trauma, sexual abuse, grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and other areas of emotional and relational difficulty.

Laura has a particular passion for working with cross-cultural workers and third culture kids (TCKs). Having lived overseas herself, she understands the unique challenges that can come with living between cultures, navigating transition, and finding a sense of home and belonging.

Laura believes that healing often begins with having a safe place to be honest about what you are carrying. She works collaboratively with clients to help them understand their experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, and move toward greater wholeness. With couples, Laura incorporates the Gottman Method to help partners strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate conflict in healthier ways.
