Myia is a lifelong learner who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Amberton University, and has more than 20 years of experience in public education and Christian education. She is recognized as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the state of Texas. Her compassionate approach to evidence-based counseling is grounded and guided by her faith and an earnest desire to help others reach their personal, professional and mental health goals. She strives to foster an environment of acceptance, safety and hope in
each session, with therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs.

She welcomes opportunities to serve adolescents, adults, and families. Her areas of focus include fertility, educator support, conflict resolution, Type 1 Diabetes/chronic illness, career guidance, grief, anxiety, depression and personal growth. Additionally, she is trained to facilitate the Prepare/Enrich premarital inventory.
